Welcome to the Centre for International Trade and Economic Research’s (CITER)website. CITER is a newly established research entity with the aim of gathering together existing data, as well as undertaking new research, and analysing, interpreting and presenting this research to interested parties. The focus will mostly be on industry level trade-related research, but touching on macro economic and trade policy matters, as well as on the micro export and import efforts of local firms. The research is intended to contribute to the reindustrialisation of local industry, addressing relevant local challenges and opportunities. This research will be published under my research fellowship with the University of South Africa, but will also be promoted on the CITER website. I am currently expanding and improving this website with research and industry news that I hope tweaks your interest. Please you will return. It will be worth it.
